In the second and final round of the 2007 Victorian Road Race Championships Chas was unstoppable, managing to qualify on Pole in the Superstock class and in 3rd in Supersport.
When the lights went out in Superstock race 1, Chas pulled to an 8 second lead over ARRC challenger Craig Nicholson. He also managed to set a new lap record for the Broadford race circuit at 60.411, just under Chris Trounsons previous Superstock record of 60.500. For the Weekend Chas also entered the Super-Sport class and in Qualifying session 1 he was again top of the charts. By Qualifier 2 Chas droped back to 3RD on the grid behind pole man Yarrive Konsky aboard Russel Holland's Factory Honda CBR 600 and Dean Oughtred on an older Yamaha R6.
In race 1 Super-sport Chas got off to a slow start and with some early race battles between Dean and Chas, Christan Casella, Yarrive and Andrew Brooks managed to pull away with Deano and Chas finishing in 4th and 5th position. The second Super-Stock race of the day had some of the best racing over the whole weekend. Chas again took the early lead but this time Nicholson was able to tag on the back and on the 4th lap Chas again broke his own lap record and put down a 60.218. On the very next lap Craig responded with a 60.217 and the record was in his name. Craig again threw down a blistering time of 60.190 on the 7th lap and began to show Chas his front wheel at almost every part of the track and on the 8th lap Craig managed to get by Chas under brakes into turn 1. On the final lap Chas made good drive onto the front straight and slipstreamed Craig and passed up the inside of turn 1 where Craig had passed him the lap prior. Craig gave 1 more attempt to get underneath into crash corner [turn 4] but Chas managed to fight off Craig's assault and hold the advantage over the line and also posted a 60.127 giving him back the Lap record.
In the Second Super-Sport race Chas was off to a good start and was just behind Yarrive in third. He managed to hang onto Yarrive but couldn't find a place to pass so he settled for third while Christan Casella went on to win and set a new Super-Sport lap record of a 58.410 on his Reece Bancell Scholarship Yamaha R6. Super-Sport race 3 was very similar to race 2 but this time Chas was keen to try and beat Yarrive and was all over him for the first 3 laps. Christan Casella wasn't to far ahead either so Chas new he was riding a good pace. To his amazement his first 3 laps were all in the high 59 seconds, a new PB for him. On lap 3 Yarrive almost came together with Casella and ran off at crash allowing Chas and Andrew Brooks through into 2nd and 3rd respectivelly. Also on the same lap Andrew Brooks who was hot on Chas was given a stop go penalty for jumping the start and Chas had a good buffer. He found himself on a comfortable pace in the low 60's but was unaware that Yarrive had rejoined and was pushing hard in the low 59's and on the last lap Yarrive passed Chas for Second position.
In the last Super-stock race Chas was determined to do 59's again and put the lap record under 1 minute and on the 3rd and 4th lap he thought he had got there and also pulled a 3 second gap over Craig Nicholson. He decided to drop the pace to the low 60's and conserve his tyres for the feature 25 lap race. Chas took the win over Craig by 5 seconds but when he returned to the pits to his disappointment he found out he had only managed a 60.049 and not the 59's he had done in the Super-Sport. Still another lap record and race win gave him 1 of the best weekends of racing thus far.
In the 25 lap Harvey Wiltshire feature race there were 11 starters on all capacity bikes and A,B and C grades mixed in. Steve Tozer took the early lead and pulled a 20 second gap over Brett Tomkins and a further 14 seconds to Dean Oughtred. Chas was again in a major battle with Craig Nicholson with the pair going head to head in the low 60 lap times. Chas and Craig were virtually joined by an umbilical cord so he decided to let Craig run the pace at he front. They had dipped into the low 101's so Chas thought it would be a good time to charge the battery's and work out Craig's strong and weak points. However on lap 19 he noticed they had begun closing the gap to the next 2 riders in front so he slipped past Craig and began to put low 60's down again and closed up on the two 1000cc bikes ahead. Craig was never more than 2 bike lengths behind Chas during the whole race. As laps ran down, the pair pulled back almost 8 seconds on the bikes in front. Unfortunately time ran out for them, crossing the line .2secs apart in 6th and 7th place, only 3secs adrift of the two 1000s , but being the first 600cc bikes to finish after Yarrive had a nasty fall at turn 1. The weekend saw 3 lap records broken with Steve Tozer taking the Superbike record of 57.936, in Supersport Christan Casella lowered Chris Seatons previous record to 58.410 and Chas took the Superstock record to 60.049.
