Chas sat him self on position 4 on the front row and capitalized on the front row start winning every start of the 4 racers. Also noted is the 4 manufacturers next to each other with Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha all lined up consecutively. This is a first off for the year.In race 1 Chas was off in the lead closely followed by Brayden Carr. The two changed positions over 4 times in the first 2 laps before Victorian Craig Nicholson #14 joined the fun as well as pole position holder Tim Durie. Chas was relegated back to 4th position with 4 laps to go. As the laps ran down he began to make a charge back up to the lead. On the penultimate lap he passed Brayden up the inside into turn 4, but as Carr closed the door the pair made contact causing Chas to loose balance and the pair went off the track. Chas picked up the bike and finished 11th with Craig Nicholson taking the well earned win, Craig has been racing Super stock for 3 years and it was excellent to se him come through with his first race and round Victory. Race 2 and Chas was off to the lead again, He put his head down and began to pull away from the field and took the win quite comfortably with over a 2 second gap. Round 6 saw Craig Nicholson take the round win followed by Tim Durie and Chas took equal 3rd tied for points with Ben Henry, the win in race 2 proved vital for Chas to get the top 3 Round result.
Race 1 Sunday and Chas had the same result as the last race the day before, Again he lead from when the lights went out and the chequered flag was waved. Chas pulled away to a three second lead then backed off the pace to take another comfortable win. Race 2 Sunday and Chas again lead the field to turn 4 before Brayden passed him for the lead. Both went head to head over the next three laps before Chas started dropping back through the field. Henry was the first to pass Chas followed by Nicholson, Cowie, Durie and WA rider Cameron Keevers. Cameron has been showing good pace over the last 2 rounds and it was good to see him finally get the podium position he has been trying for all year. Chas came home in 6th position followed by Carr. Overal round 2 results saw Ben Henry take first, Chas in Second and Tim Cowie third.
