Well the year of motorcycle racing has finished. Chas managed to finish 2nd after a action packed last round in Sydney, Chas took pole and the race 1 win but a blown engine and crash threw all title chances out the window. But as they say that's racing.
Chas will be back for 2009, again on Suzuki's but this time he will pilot a GSXR 600 in the Australian Super-Sport Championship riding for the RC Motor sport team. RC Motor sport is a business designed by and for all lovers of motor sport. Founder Rod Church wood hopes to have doors open to the new shop in January and details of the grand opening will be but up shortly.
In the pass 2 months a lot of preparation has been made in-order for the new shop to open and also testing of the 600 has been flat out with Chas testing Phillip Island and Mallala all ready. "The 600 is a lot different to riding the 1000, you have to ride the bike so much harder to get near the same laps times I did on my 1000 stocker" commented Chas after his first ride at Phillip Island. "It's a great bike and I can't wait to be pushing it to it's limits".
The team will continue testing at Phillip Island and with Chas now being graded to "A" he will be looking forward to giving it his all in 2009.
Both Chas Hern Racing and RC Motor sport wish all our friends and Fans a Merry Christmas and a Great 2009.
