Queensland Raceway testing/track day

After a miserable weathered two day haul up to the "Sunny State" we got into my parents place around 8 and called it a nite. After a good sleep we head up to QR early Saturday morning.
Again another unknown track to the both of us, though i am a queenslander. On our way up we came accross some fellow
superstock riders and friends the Joe Rocket Junior Development Team. As there was only Braden Carr testing the same day as us, most of the supersport and superbike guys had already tested earlier in the week. A few others where there from SA and WA they too making the trip to test before they enter the double header at the end of the month.

The weather had not shown us any love today still being cold windy and overcast. It felt like we should have been at Phillip Island.. So much for warm Queensland sunshine. The track was cold but not slippery, just riddled with rough patches making for some suspension adjustments throughout the day.

Being my first time back on a bike and track it was my first ride as owner of my ZXR400 track baby... tho it's still in painting process so looks rather crap i guess.
After spending the day getting a feel for my bike adjusting things here and there, the track and Chas setting his suspension up, it was worth the drive.

Chas and I spent a few sessions together him leading me around the track to get faster and better lines. I was starting to feel more and more comfortable on the bike and with the gearing every session. I think my last session was my best.
By 4:30 we started packing up, it still hadn't warmed up at all over the day, so back home to a hot shower and we'll head back up tomorrow to watch the QLD tiles which some of the guys testing had entered.

Hopefully next time i'm on track my bike will look a little more respectable....Untill then... Ciao
