With the 2008 Australian road race championships approaching quickly, Chas Hern has joined forces with GMC's Lincoln Sutherland and 2007 Hughie Hoare Champion Jed Metcher in a bid to be in top form for this years series.
Both Linc and Jed have recently turned to Dirt bike riding for pre season traing and the Trio have been riding up to 3 times a week in Motocross, Trail and last weekend the boys tried out Flat track at the regular practice days at Broadford.

Chas Hern will be racing Suzuki in 2008, the deal came up after Chas took 4 wins from 4 starts and a Lap record in the last round of the Victorian Superstock Championship.
Chas Hern Made his Australian Supermotard return last weekend after beeing absent from the seen for more than 12 months. Chas rebuilt his 2005 Honda CFR from ground up 1 day pror to the event. Chas Also borrowed a friends Yamaha YZF250 and competed in the MX and enduro class were he also took to the podium.
Due to our busy schedule straight after Phillip Island GP, we have only just got the chance to write a report for the MotoGP suport race.
For the friends and family of Chas Hern racing football plays a small part in our life. However the grand final is one of our biggest events of the year, and with the 2007 road racing season finished and only MotoGP left we have let our hair down before the new bikes arrive. We are spending more time enjoying ourselves and relaxing before we have to do it all over again next year.

In the final round of the North-South Dirt track Championships Chas Hern won all 3 classes he entered, and took 8 wins from 9 starts. Chas was preparing for the upcoming Australian Dirt track Championships to be held at Mildura this weekend. Unfortunately Chas received a phone call on Monday saying his class had been canceled due to lack of entry's.
The Victorian Road race Championships are now all over. Although Chas Hern only raced in the final round he proved he would have been a challenge if he had raced the full season.
Chas Hern again traded his Stafford Yamaha R6 in this weekend for a Dirt Bike. This Time a Yamaha YZF250 and he and his Friends ventured off to Seymour for the 2 Day open Motocross event. Chas placed as High as 3RD in the B grade 250cc class and finished 6TH outright.
Road race Championships draws nearer to the end Chas Hern returned to Motocross last weekend for the 2 Day open event held in Wodonga far North Victoria. Chas took the over all win in the over 250cc class aboard his Honda CRF450.
