At the Victorian road race championships Chas hern put his Mick Hone/Hern Engineering Suzuki GSXR 1000 on pole in the Super-Bike class lapping more than half a second under the current Formula Xtreme lap record. Chas set a 1.26.3 to take pole from Chris Trounson, but a high side the very next lap would see Chas watching the rest of the weekend from the side line.
Team mate Dean Oughtred went on to finish a great second place behind Trounson.
Chas had X-rays on his all ready broken left wrist and is now back in plaster.
In the latest round of the 2008 Australian Super-bike Championships Chas Hern stepped it up to take the overall round victory in the Formula Xtreme class, on his Mick Hone Motorcycle Suzuki GSXR 1000. After lapping under the lap record in warm up he showed that he was fit and ready to take the fight to Championship leader Brayden Carr, and would close the points lead down to 6.5 going into the last round in Sydney on October 17th and 18th.
At the latest round of the Australian Super-Bike Champion ships, Chas Hern was able to put pain aside and make 3 top finishes over the weekend. Chas broke his left thumb while testing at Winton only 3 weeks prior to RD 3 of the Championship. He underwent surgery 1 week prior to Winton where 2 screws, 1 wire and 2 fish hook like anchors were put in Chas’s left wrist.
Chas will be Switching over to Nolan Helmets this weekend after the release of the Casey Stoner replica helmets now being availible in Australia.
This weekend will see Gen again take to the track for the second round of the Victroian inter club series at Broadford.
At Round two of the 2008 Kawasaki Australian Super-Bike Championships, Chas Hern has been able to finish off a perfect weekend with 3 race wins from 3 starts, plus a new Formula Extreme lap record.
Chas Hern has stamped his authority on the first round of the Australian Championship in the new format FX class. With perfect weather and track conditions all weekend, Chas was fastest in first warm up, and QualifIed on pole by more than 1 seccond in front of the 37 bike field. Chas did his best time on lap 2 of the first qualiyfing session, a 1.36.2.

Chas Hern is ready to rock at this weekends World Super-Bike event at Phillip Island this weekend. Chas will be competing in the Super-Bike suport class on his 
Chas Hern Racing Team have just finished there first official test for 2008. With the new Suzuki GSXR 1000 K8 ready for action the team was looking to get a great set up for the bike. Chas straight away felt very comfortable on the Suzuki and posted some great lap times.
