Over 10 country towns have been devastated by fire around the surrounding areas of Whittlesea over the last weekend. Fire started at Kilmore East and ripped through Wandong and Upper Plenty, to Kinglake West, Flowerdale, Pheasant Creek, Kinglake Central, Strathewen and St Andrews
We have been able to help by lending and sending out generators to the SES, CFA and people/family's without power who are lucky enough to still have a house.
Right is the remains of a 2009 Suzuki RMZ 250F
Generators were provided to us by a large number of friends within the motorcycle racing family including Darren and Lisa Sciberras, Paul from Master coat, Ben and Dale Scott, Joel Bassett, Motologic Racing, Chris Bryson, Darren Lee, Joel Stafford at Simford welding services, Rob and Hailey Neil, Paul Cassingham, Steve Guest, Con and John at High Octane and Pascal.
We would also like to put a big thanks to Gas Imports and Shannon Johnson for donating over $5000 worth of clothing
We have also been able to supply family's with food and supplies, to get them through until the roads were opened 4 days after, thanks to Rob and James Hern.
Our latest project is to support our fellow motorcycle racers. Many have lost motorbikes and as most would know, we normally don't have just one bike but several in our sheds.
Bryan at Mornington Honda has gladly supplied us with a CRF 250 for up and coming racer Jarrod Hocking who's family lost everything in the Kinglake fire.
A Honda CRF 450 will also be available for Shawn Mitchell, who's family lost everything in the Strathewen fires.
It is still going to be a hard road for these two, like so many others in the same situation, as all there gear, trailers and cars have also been lost in the devastating fires that have hit this area.
Our hearts and thoughts are with all those who have lost family, friends and homes in this tragedy. We have been lucky with all of our immediate family and friends having survived.
We are still looking for money and product sponsors for this new team so anyone who can help out please contact Chas on 0420507464 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
